Post Clean LW 2.1.1 is out + poll
Altough TruStarWarrior hasn't updated his site I made a "Clean" LW 2.1.1 .

It has no ads or spyware and it's only a 1.54MB ZIP file .
Get it here : http://users.pandora.be/karel.boonen...s/LimeWire.exe

Doubleclick RunLime.jar to start it .

If that won't work you have to update your Java Runtime to version 1.3.1.02 .
Get the latest version here : http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/

Live it up guys !

BTW: I posted this poll to see what the average user is prepared to sacrifiece .

i want to know more about clean limewire. are there any users that have tried it out there? i havent seen any postings with thumbs up or down. could it be that their hard drives have crashed?

Thumbs up and many thanks ;-)

The clean version is the only version that works on my pc. The official installshieldapplication (or the spyware) needs internet exploiter which i havent installed.

I can't find http://users.pandora.be/karel.boone...eWire_2.1.1.zip - all that's in that directory is limewire.exe which is v2.1.2 of the basic non-clean one.

All I can find wherever I look - including the CleanLimeWire site is 2.1.1/2 with ads, I can't find this legendary ad/installer-free zipped version.

The ad-free 2.1.2 is in http://users.pandora.be/karel.boonen...s/LimeWire.exe

It will still display ads if you have CyDoor on your system tho .
Use Ad-Aware to clean it of your system .

Thumbs up clean LW OH HAPPY DAY !
after a few problems due to my lack of experience the clean LW
that VTOLFRK SUGGESTED HAS RUN with no problems.
