HINTS... I have done something similar... There is a trick... Hopefully you can recover too... Here are some hints... What I learned is that there are database files kept in your INCOMPLETE folder, which is inside your SAVED FILES folder... those database files are an IMPORTANT key...
Here is THE HINT: You have to re-establish a valid relationship between LimeWire, your current SAVED FILES folder, the INCOMPLETE folder path, your INCOMPLETE files, and those database files...
I do not remember exactly what steps I used, but I did eventually recover... then you can right-click to resume your precious incompletes... nirvana!
Search your hard drive for files like this :: T-*.* or, any folders called Incomplete...
That will help you find the path(s) to the folder(s) where all your INCOMPLETE files are.
I think the incomplete files are kept in a folder named "INCOMPLETE" which is inside your SAVED FILES folder... so, you may now have at least TWO of those folders, an old one and a new one, each with its own database files... and your incomplete files themselves, too!
First, QUIT out of LimeWire.
Second, you SWAP OUT that NEW "Incomplete" folder from your current SAVED FILES folder, then you SWAP IN the OLDER "Incomplete" folder, and I think everything will be healed... maybe... ??? The appropriate INCOMPLETES database files (downloads.dat and downloads.bak) will be dragged along...
You'll need to be careful about those database files for your incompletes... I do not know if that database can be recovered/refreshed... and how you could ever merge two of those...???
Also, you only care about your LARGER files, right? Your smaller incomplete files are not worth any trouble... just do a new LimeWire search!
Good luck! Anybody else have comments?
