There are also open source contributors like Philppe Verdy, Rogerk, Gregorio Roper and other that contribute to LW pieces of code named "patches". They submit them here http://www.limewire.org/mailinglist.shtml

LW is also offering bounties for open source devs if they implement some features in LW: http://www.limewire.org/wishlist.shtml
