There are "stickies" at the top of the forums that will help you,,, or try a "search" in the forum topics as this subject has been covered extensively before
or,
Fire up Nero StartSmart, then choose DVD or CD from the 'top right hand side menu' , select which application you prefer and follow the prompts from there.
It's probably best to start with CDRW (for VCD's etc) or DVD-RW's while you're learning Nero,,, either way, be prepared for the "movie files" to take a while to "encode" to your prefered PAL, NTSC, etc format. Start small & have fun hey!
