| Installing Java in Mandrake
After a long, sleepless night, I finally got Java Runtime to install on my Mandrake system (what can I say, I'm really green here.) However, a stupid mistake caused me to have to re-install Linux... and I can't remember how I managed to get Java up and running. I can't even get it to realize that I have a copy of the new runtime environment installed. I've tried the 1.3 and 1.4 versions. My computer still says that I have 1.1 installed, and, as such, LimeWire won't respond. I've tried installing it to / and to the default /usr/java Neither seems to work for me. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. |
