I don't think it's your ISP or my ISP and I explained that in another thread see the thread I started

The reason is that although I have the same security on a desktop as a laptop on which I just recently installed LimeWire, when I unhook my DSL modem cable from the desktop to the laptop, the laptop connects with LimeWire perfectly (obviously same ISP). I don't know if this provides different ISP numbers (by using a different computer) but the problem sure seems to be common and not at our end. Where are all the computer gurus for a fix and not trying to turn us into detectives looking for clues and trying different things, most of which don't seem to work.
