The .mov files are proprietary to Apple, so Quicktime is the player for that.
Microsoft makes their own .wm? format, and the p means it is protected with DRM,
so you'll probably have to use the Windows media player and might have to give up a
credit card number before the file will play.
Both formats are laden with DRM and can be exploited by hackers to compromise
your security, so I generally advise everyone to block such files from showing up in
search results. On gnutella and other P2P networks, generally all of them are pure spam. |
