Default "I can't watch the videos I download" - Familiar Question?

There are a series of questions that each seem to appear 20 times daily in many parts of the forum and those who reply have to repeat the same information over and over again. Perhaps, to complement the FAQs, a few extra sticky threads could be placed strategically in the relevant forums with titles like:

"YEAAAAH! Most of my downloaded videos now play perfectly"

"Eureka! Now I can now play all my downloaded mp3s in Winamp and itunes!"

"AAAH! So THAT'S how you configure your shared folder!"

".zip .sit .dmg .img The definitive guide to compression/disk image formats"

and I'm sure people can think of quite a few more.

I know this is already done to a certain extent, but more is required.

These threads could contain extracts and links to the FAQs and to the enormous back-catalogue of previous replies. Perhaps this way , just a few users with questions might be tempted into clicking the 'stickies' instead of starting a new thread.

That said, I can understand that it is not necessarily easy to wade your way through the FAQs or to search the forum for previous threads and find exactly the information you're looking for.
