I have very same problem, but with more history.
I have paid for the pro version also. I have switched to the free bearshare and downloaded everything I wanted while the limewire was still in wait for reply. I have reloaded limewire and reviewed every setting I could find - no help.
I am not an aol user, I have a dialup modem with 'connection only' to my isp.
