You dlded it via LW? Hopefully, there should be a text file or Readme file around in the patch's folder that tells you how to do that.
I suggest you don't try anything fancy unless you're really knowledgable about computers.

Also, you can try going to LW, searching again for the patch (by typing the exact words you typed last time) and seeing if someone has enabled the chat feature. If you find someone, then hopefully they will be willing to tell you how to do this if they themselves know.
