Default multiple users

hi guys,

i just installed Lime Wire, with my Admin account on my computer, but on other accounts of my computer it doesn't show it's installed, no startmenu folder, no link on the desktop, how do i fix this, without manually making the links?

i mean i installed it and i tought it would be installed for all accounts did i do something wrong at installation or something?

or should i configure limewire for use in multiple users and if so how do i do this? i find the support on the limewire site lacking in any help what so ever about this, so i hope you guys can help me with this.

Thanks anyway...

Go in Windows Explorer and copy the file .limewire(it should be in the "your name" folder) and paste it in the other accounts. LimeWire should show up for the users of the other accounts.

Default multiple users access to Limewire

I have read the postings on how to resolve access issues with multiple user accounts in windows. However, I still require some help. When I searched for ".limewire" I did not find a file but a folder called ".limewire". It was located in C:\Document and Settings\Owner. Looking in the folder I did not see a file labeled ".limewire". Is the file and folder the same thing or am I looking in the wrong location? If they are same then what are the next steps?

Thanks

You have found what you were looking for: .limewire is not a file but a folder.

Congratulations, you're in the top 0.0001% of Winows home users that actually use proper user accounts! I love you. I really do. (MS Windows users that use proper user accounts seem to be far outnumbered by the people that ask for multiple "LimeWire users" in a single Windows user account, with files hidden from each other, even though they use one Windows user account.... which would pretty much involve implementing an SMB server in Java in order to implement some kind of cryptographic loopback filesystem or some other ugly hack in an attempt to poorly re-implement features already present in the OS... but I digress.)

Unfortunately, the demand for a feature to install shortcuts on all accounts under Windows is very low, and the potential for bugs is non-zero. If such a feature has a subtle bug that has a 1 in 1 million chance of causing a problem, it's going to cause more problems than it solves, and the problems it creates will likely be bigger than the problems it solves.
