G-mail troubleshooting When I type a reply to a message in G-mail, sometimes the text vanishes without my having hit the delete button. Why this happens, I just don't know! Have tried to access my reply by going to DRAFTS but there I only find the first line of my reply. The rest of the reply does not appear anywhere.! Have also tried DRAFTS on other occasions, only to find that not even the first line of my reply appears! Have also tried TRASH and SPAM, as sometimes the unfinished reply is automatically filed there. Again to no avail. Plse help as my head is spinning from many vain attempts to retrieve my texts. Many thanks. Joe |

Open up a blank text document, do some typing & see if the same thing happens. Perhaps one of the keys on your keyboard is wearing out (or dirty more likely) & is sticking. Another possibility is the mouse being dirty or wearing out & doing actions you are not aware of. The so-called Mac Mighty mouse tend to have a short life from what I've read & experienced for example. My mac keyboard I use a 3rd party keyboard cover for which is very good (I simply wash it under water occasionally) & does not affect typing whatsoever. You could try typing into a text document, when finished, copy-paste the text to the gmail compose mail's window. |
